The Curran Group invests in companies at any
stage of development, but our investment focus is generally on
well-established organizations with $20 million or more in annual
sales. We are generally the lead investor. We focus primarily
on industrial businesses, but are open to evaluate other investment
areas.
It is critical that the companies that we invest in have a track
record of, and commitment to, conducting business in a first-class
manner. They must have unquestioned integrity in dealings with
all stakeholders, including customers, employees, suppliers and
owners. We invest in people, not just companies.
The Curran Group takes an active role in the growth process
of each operating unit, but allows the companies to operate autonomously.
Our approach to ensuring their success includes being an integral
part of their strategic planning process. Beyond our board-level
involvement, the corporate staff supplies value-added services
such as legal, audit, tax, cash management, banking, insurance,
employee benefit, risk management and safety. This support allows
our subsidiaries’ management teams to have a sharp focus
on the operational aspects of their business. We feel strongly
that this gives each operating unit a distinct advantage
in its respective marketplace. |
